Welcome to the May 2019 edition of the Data Analysis Bulletin. Every month we’ll share with you the key data submission and reporting deadlines and milestones, the latest analysis reports and publications, new products and pilot programme opportunities, technical system updates and key dates for our upcoming data events.

If you’d like to get in touch about any of the content in this newsletter, please contact our Data Bulletin editorial team at

Annual cost and performance data entry is open

Quarter 4 / Annual Performance data entry deadline has been extended

We are pleased to advise that the Quarter 4/ Annual performance deadline has been extended to the 17 May. If you are unable to meet the extension deadline, but intend to take part, please contact the Data team on 024 7647 2707 to discuss alternative arrangements.

Submitting your performance data by May allows you access to early year-end performance analysis and benchmarking. It also reduces the required workload later in the season when the cost data deadline is due.

Detailed cost and Headline Financials/Global Accounts

HouseMark’s cost modules are now open for data entry. The deadline for submitting your employee and non-pay cost data is 16 August. For Headline Financial / Global Account data, the deadline is 30 September. For housing associations, submission of headline financial data can be done simply by uploading a PDF copy of their FVA to the online data entry portal.

Have you advised us of your intentions to participate?

If you haven’t done so already, please let us know what your intentions to submit data are for 2019. You can do this either by completing the ‘Benchmarking Options’ section of the online data collection form, or by emailing us at

There is also a new Benchmarking Option that notifies us if you would like to receive an Executive Summary. As soon as your final data is approved you can run your own reports and dashboards using our online reporting tool. Following feedback from members, an Executive Summary PowerPoint (as available in previous years) can be emailed to you as well. If you have already completed the Benchmarking Options section and wish to change this selection, please let us know at

Sector Scorecard – data collection is now open

The Sector Scorecard allows housing associations in the UK to benchmark performance and check that they are providing value for money. The data entry system is now open for collecting data. As you will have seen in the Data Offer 2019, the deadline for draft figures in England and Wales is 30 June 2019 and for Scotland and Northern Ireland 31 July 2019. The final amends are expected before 30 September 2019.

Information about the Sector Scorecard measures can be found on our website here.

If you have any questions about the Sector Scorecard, please contact
