  • Crops are looking good with rainfall boosting development in most areas. 
  • While blight remains a concern, no widespread issues have been reported.
  • Demand for old crop remained limited with focus on best quality.
  • Increased volumes of new crop chipping material entered the market, but dry matters are still a little low for some.

  • Crop is growing well, with no widespread issues of blight being reported.
  • The recent sunshine is welcomed, allowing most that were delayed with fieldwork to get back on track.
  • Increasing volumes of new crop chipping continue to come onto the market, though crops need a few more weeks for dry matters to increase.
2018 crop - Packing
  • Demand remains steady with most interest in best bold material.
  • Prices have crept up again for best quality material with good baker content. These supplies are becoming harder to find as the season winds down.
