Marine pile repair works

The working period for marine pile repair works at ExxonMobil Terminal, Pulau Ayer Chawan, has been extended. The work will now be conducted out from 31 July 2021 to 30 January 2022.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.052 of 2021, the repairs will be carried out between 0800 and 2000 hours local time Mondays to Saturdays, and from 0800 to 1700 hours on Sunday, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°16·612'N / 103°41·411'E
2) 01°16·847'N / 103°41·627'E
3) 01°16·836'N / 103°41·639'E
4) 01°16·601'N / 103°41·423'E

The marine repair works entail strengthening of piles and concrete encasement of steel pipe piles at ExxonMobil Pulau Ayer Chawan Berths OE1, OE2 and OE3.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control for assistance, if required.
