Additional incentives for vessels calling at port

To attract more vessels calling at Port Louis for outer anchorage activities, the Government in its Budget Speech for FY 2021/2022 announced the following additional incentives:

  1. The gross tonnage of vessels calling at outer anchorages for activities will be capped at 35,000 tonnes for the computation of their vessel fees;
  2. Vessels calling at outer anchorage for the purpose of taking bunker will be granted 75% discount on Anchorage Dues for the first 24 hours of stay and 50% discount for the next 48 hours of stay. The gross tonnage of vessels calling at Port Louis for bunkering purposes were already being capped at 35,000 tonnes.

The above incentives are effective for vessels calling at Port Louis from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022.
