Waiver for vessels using Liquefied Natural Gas as fuel

From 1 August, a part waiver scheme for vessels using LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) fuel will be introduced at Mundra.

The 50% waiver scheme will be offered based on following criteria:

  1. Applicable for all vessels running by dual fuel engine using LNG as a primary fuel.
  2. Port will offer 50% discount on port dues, pilotage and berth hire charges.
  3. The waiver is applicable for vessels using LNG as fuel within Mundra Port limits.
  4. The waiver on port charges will not be applicable for vessels carrying LNG as a cargo and using LNG fuel.
  5. Vessel must produce the IAPP or similar objective evidence in the form of certificate prior to arrival at Mundra Port limit, which must indicate the specification of the vessel’s Engine and Fuel details to avail the waiver scheme.

The waiver scheme will be effective from 1 August 2021 and until 31 January 2022, after which it will be revaluated for the further extension.

All other port charges except mentioned in point no. 2 will be charged as per Mundra Port BPTS tariff.
