Due to anticipated heavy rain and high winds, Port Kembla anchorage is to be closed from midnight tonight, local time, as a precaution. Vessels are to drift off the port at a safe distance and vessels at certain berths will be instructed to lower their anchor to the seabed. All vessels are to keep a check on their lines at all times.
It is possible there might be some disruption to pilotage due to these conditions.
