Night lockdown to end

The Sultanate of Oman will end the closure of commercial activities and movement of individuals and vehicles at night, from Saturday 21 August.

Further, he Supreme Committee on Covid-19 has decided that:

  • Two doses of the vaccines approved in the Sultanate are required for those aged 18 years and above to enter the Sultanate by land, sea or air. They must also undergo a Covid-19 PCR test before or upon arrival. Seven days’ health quarantine with a PCR test on the eighth day is required for those who test positive.

  • From 1 September, vaccination will be required to enter all government units and private sector establishments, including commercial complexes, restaurants, and other commercial activities, as well as attending cultural, sports, group events.
