Marine site investigation at Tai O Public Pier

For approximately two months, marine site investigation works involving drilling of boreholes are being carried out in the following works areas:

WORKS AREA 1
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D):
(A) 22° 15.143’N / 113° 51.171’E
(B) 22° 15.139’N / 113° 51.181’E
(C) 22° 15.120’N / 113° 51.172’E
(D) 22° 15.124’N / 113° 51.162’E

WORKS AREA 2
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (E) to (H):
(E) 22° 15.140’N / 113° 51.257’E
(F) 22° 15.127’N / 113° 51.273’E
(G) 22° 15.123’N / 113° 51.266’E
(H) 22° 15.135’N / 113° 51.251’E

The works are being carried out by one jack-up barge. One work boat and one tugboat provide assistance.

A working area of approximately 20 metres around the barge will be established. Yellow flashing lights are installed at the four corners of the barge to indicate its position.

The hours of work are from 0800 to 1800 hours. No works are carried out on Sundays and public holidays. The barge employed for the works stays in the works areas outside the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operations display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
