Establishment of a restricted area in Kwun Tong Typhoon Shelter

A restricted area will be established between 0800 hours on 17 September and 2359 hours on 23 September, in Kwun Tong Typhoon Shelter to facilitate activities in connection with the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival at the Kwun Tong Promenade.

An inflatable luminous moon of 15 metres in diameter will be displayed onboard a flat top barge inside the restricted area during the period mentioned above.

The restricted area is formed by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D):
(A) 22 deg. 18.740'N / 114 deg. 12.951'E
(B) 22 deg. 18.709'N / 114 deg. 12.983'E
(C) 22 deg. 18.694'N / 114 deg. 12.966'E
(D) 22 deg. 18.724'N / 114 deg. 12.935'E

Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid at the above co-ordinates to indicate the boundaries of the restricted area.

During the aforementioned period, no vessels, other than Government launches, will be allowed to enter or remain within the restricted area. All vessels navigating in the vicinity should keep away from the restricted area.
