Relaxed travel procedures

Oman has lifted the travel ban on all countries.

Travelers can now enter Oman subject to following conditions:

  • All passengers arriving to the Sultanate of Oman are required to present a COVID-19 vaccine certificate containing a QR code stating that they have received two doses of vaccine approved in Oman or in cases where a single dose is approved by Ministry of Health in Oman, have received one dose of such vaccine. The last dose must have been received no less than 14 days ahead of estimated arrival time.
  • Vaccination Certificate without QR code is acceptable only from the countries which do not provide a verification code, but the vaccination certificate must be approved by the competent authorities of those countries.

On-signing crew members should have completed two doses of vaccine approved by Ministry of Health in Oman 14 days prior arrival in Muscat.

With effect from 1 November, off-signing crew members should have completed two doses of vaccine approved by Ministry of Health in Oman prior to disembarkation. This option is only available at Muscat ports.

As per current information, vaccination is not mandatory for crew on board a vessel which are not disembarking.

Passengers arriving in Oman where flying time is less than 8 hours are required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result which can be validated and certified with a QR code, conducted within seventy-two (72) hours prior to the scheduled time of arrival in Oman.

Passengers arriving in Oman where flying time is more than 8 hours are required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result which can be validated and certified with a QR code, conducted within ninety-six (96) hours prior to the scheduled time of arrival in Oman.

All visitors are required to have health insurance that covers the costs of treatment with Covid-19 for a period of one month from the date of arrival into Oman.

All passengers arriving to the Sultanate presenting a negative COVID-19 PCR test result are exempted from quarantine.
