Updated entry requirements for foreign seafarers

13 Oct 2021 / Indonesia

For Indian crew members coming to Indonesia to join their vessel, an E-Visa may be issued. However, they are required to quarantine for 14 days in India before entering Indonesia, and for another 8 days in the country before joining their ship. A No Objection Letter (NOC) from the police is compulsory.

Visa on arrival is still not available in Indonesia for Joiners/Superintendents from Afghanistan, Guinea, Israel, North Korea, Cameron, Liberia, Nigeria and Somalia.

Meanwhile, the below nationalities will be strictly monitored upon arrival at CGK Airport, Jakarta:
India
Pakistan
Bangladesh
Sri Lanka
Nigeria

There is possibility that crews may be repatriated, thus close coordination to related parties will be needed.
