Maritime Union of Australia protected industrial action

Members of the Maritime Union of Australia employed by Svitzer Australia will engage in a 4-hour work stoppage on Tuesday, 9 November 2021 at the following Svitzer operated ports.

ALBANY, FREMANTLE, GERALDTON, AND KWINANA
Stoppage of work for 4 hours duration commencing at 07.30 am (local time) through to 11.30 am (local time) on Tuesday 9 November 2021.

ADELAIDE, PORT PIRIE, SPENCER GULF
Stoppage of work for 4 hours duration commencing at 10.00 am (local time) through to 02.00 pm (local time) on Tuesday 9 November 2021.

MELBOURNE, WESTERNPORT, EDEN, NEWCASTLE, PORT KEMBLA, SYDNEY
Stoppage of work for 4 hours duration commencing 10.30 am (local time) through to 2.30 pm (local time) on Tuesday 9 November 2021.

BRISBANE, FNQ (INCLUDING CAIRNS AND MOURILYAN)
Stoppage of work for 4 hours duration commencing at 09.30 am (local time) through to 1.30 pm (local time) on Tuesday 9 November 2021.

Svitzer Australia will review schedules and crewing requirements to avoid or minimise the disruption.

Since October 2020, the Maritime Union of Australia has issued a total of 43 notices of protected industrial action in Svitzer’s ports around Australia.
