Canal dues to rise

Suez Canal Authority Chairman Admiral Usama Rabeaa announced in a press conference yesterday (4 November) the intention to increase Canal dues by 6% for the year 2022, except for LNG carriers and cruise ships.

This planned increase will be applied in the beginning of February 2022.

Cruise ships and LNG carriers will be excluded from the increase and their tolls will remain the same as in 2021.
