Construction of subsea pipeline south of Cheung Chau

For approximately three months, construction of subsea pipeline will be carried out along the following coordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (I):
(A) 22° 10.201’N 113° 57.811’E
(B) 22° 10.471’N 113° 57.997’E
(C) 22° 10.625’N 113° 58.299’E
(D) 22° 10.626’N 113° 58.643’E
(E) 22° 10.409’N 113° 59.570’E
(F) 22° 10.390’N 113° 59.751’E
(G) 22° 10.442’N 114° 03.443’E
(H) 22° 10.491’N 114° 03.847’E
(I) 22° 10.627’N 114° 04.227’E

The works will be carried out by one special purpose vessel and one dumb lighter. Two guard boats, two tugboats and one work boat will provide assistance.

A working area of approximately 50 metres around the special purpose vessel and the lighter will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights and radar reflectors will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the special purpose vessel and lighter.

The hours of work will be round-the-clock.

Diving operations will be carried out from time to time during the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operation will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear of the area at slow speed, bearing in mind there are divers working in the area.
