Underwater works off Changi East

The working period for underwater works off Changi East has been extended. The work will now be conducted from 30 November 2021 to 29 May 2022.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.080 of 2021, the works will be carried out 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - south of Changi East and west of AEBA, within the working areas bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum).

The work at Area A involves the replacement of duckbill valves using a remotely operated vehicle.

The work at Area B involves the maintenance and inspection of underwater installations by divers.

A safety boat will be in attendance at all times to warn and re-direct craft in the vicinity to keep clear of the working areas.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working areas;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 12 (East Control);
and
e) Communicate with East Control for assistance, if required.
