Test piling and soil investigation

From 24 November 2021 to 23 May 2022, test piling and soil investigations works are being carried out in East Johor Strait.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.084 of 2021, the works are being conducted 24 hours daily, including Sundays and Public Holidays, at the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

The test piling will be carried out by pile top boring and soil investigation will be carried out for rock sampling by using SI Rig on the jack up barge. A working radius of 30m around the jack-up barge is required.

Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft to keep clear of the work areas.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear of the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and to navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control for assistance, if required.
