Real World Lecture: Does Everyone Get A Fair Trial?

Students will enhance their learning in Criminology and Law topics as well as their understanding of the importance of Justice within the Criminal Justice System. This session will focus primarily on fairness within criminal trials. We will cover our Legal System and the basics of the Criminal Process, the role of Lay People and the advantages and disadvantages of juries, Legal Aid and Legal Funding and examples of injustice. Our Real World Lectures are aimed at students currently in years 12 and 13, to give greater depth to their current study and give an insight into studying at degree level. Students, parents/carers and teachers are all welcome.
