Construction of temporary loading jetty & dredging works off Changi East

From 1 February to 31 March, a temporary loading jetty will be constructed and dredging works carried out off Changi East.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.005 of 2022, the works will be carried out 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01⁰ 19.775’N / 104⁰ 01.299’E
2) 01⁰ 19.604’N / 104⁰ 01.306’E
3) 01⁰ 19.567’N / 104⁰ 01.333’E
4) 01⁰ 19.521’N / 104⁰ 01.412’E
5) 01⁰ 20.280’N / 104⁰ 02.392’E
6) 01⁰ 20.349’N / 104⁰ 02.688’E
7) 01⁰ 20.648’N / 104⁰ 02.774’E
8) 01⁰ 20.527’N / 104⁰ 02.265’E

Dredging works will be carried out off Changi East for the construction of the loading jetty.

A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft to keep clear of the area during the dredging operations.

The loading jetty will be constructed from the land by dump trucks and excavators.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the work area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 21 (Sembawang Control);
and
e) Communicate with Sembawang Control for assistance, if required.
