Demolition works at Southern Tuas Basin

Until 30 September, demolition works will be conducted at Southern Tuas Basin.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.026 of 2022, the works will be carried out from 0730 to 1930 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01°18.368’N / 103°39.051'E
2) 01°18.341'N / 103°39.079'E
3) 01°18.203'N / 103°38.951'E
4) 01°18.230'N / 103°38.922'E

The demolition works will be carried out by excavators and crane barges. A tug boat will be deployed to assist to set up the barges at working location. A safety boat will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
