Concessions for Cape size vessels extended

Kamarajar Port Limited is pleased to inform the Trade that the concession in vessel related charges, i.e. port dues and pilotage charges, for Cape Size vessels handled at the Common User Coal Terminal at KPL is hereby extended to another one year period with effect from 20 April 2022 to 19 April 2023.

The concession in vessel related charges on the Scale of Rates (SoR) shall be offered to those foreign going Cape Size vessels which handle coal subject to the following conditions:

Eligible Parcel Size: 90,000 MT to 120,000 MT
- Concession: 30% of SoR

Eligible Parcel Size: 120,000 MT and above
- Concession: 40% of SoR

The eligibility for availing the concession is cargo handled at terminal based on the Import General Manifest (IGM)_ declared to Customs.

The concession can be availed on each eligible vessel after completion of cargo based on the certificatgion of Traffic department.

The concession shall be extended to the vessel agents/shipping line those who are remitting vessel related charges to KPL.
