Repair works for pile caps at North Point

For approximately 24 months, marine works involving repair of defective pile caps at the Island Eastern Corridor [are being] carried out in the following works areas:

WORKS AREA 1
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (E) and the adjacent shoreline:
(A) 22° 17.479’N 114° 11.547’E
(B) 22° 17.498’N 114° 11.526’E
(C) 22° 17.580’N 114° 11.641’E
(D) 22° 17.618’N 114° 11.756’E
(E) 22° 17.646’N 114° 11.982’E

WORKS AREA 2
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (F) to (M) and the adjacent shoreline:
(F) 22° 17.661’N 114° 12.057’E
(G) 22° 17.692’N 114° 12.180’E
(H) 22° 17.670’N 114° 12.183’E
(I) 22° 17.672’N 114° 12.210’E
(J) 22° 17.696’N 114° 12.211’E
(K) 22° 17.626’N 114° 12.494’E
(L) 22° 17.550’N 114° 12.640’E
(M) 22° 17.531’N 114° 12.631’E

The works are being carried out by three work boats.

A working area of approximately 30 metres around each work boat is established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights are laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the work boats.

The hours of work are from 0700 to 1900 hours. No works will be carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works do not stay in the works areas outside the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operations display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
