Unloading of steel arch bridge from dry cargo ship at Junk Bay

For approximately two months, unloading of arch bridge from a dry cargo ship for construction works of the Tseung Kwan O Southern Bridge project [is being] carried out within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D):
(A) 22 deg. 17.510’N / 114 deg. 15.147’E
(B) 22 deg. 17.378’N / 114 deg. 15.375’E
(C) 22 deg. 17.166’N / 114 deg. 15.233’E
(D) 22 deg. 17.298’N / 114 deg. 15.005’E

The unloading operation [is being] carried out by one dry cargo ship and one dumb lighter. One tugboat provides assistance.

A working area of approximately 150 metres around the dry cargo vessel and lighter [is] established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights [are] laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the dry cargo vessel and lighter.

The hours of works [are] from 0700 to 1900 hours. No works [are being] carried out on Sundays and public holidays. Vessels employed for the works stay in the anchorage area outside the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operations display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
