With immediate effect and for a period of approximately three months, dredging operations will be carried out in the following works areas:
Works Area 1 - bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (E) and the adjacent shoreline:
(A) 22° 20.378’N 114° 07.708’E
(B) 22° 20.325’N 114° 07.726’E
(C) 22° 20.228’N 114° 07.395’E
(D) 22° 20.437’N 114° 07.324’E
(E) 22° 20.445’N 114° 07.351’E
Works Area 2 - bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (F) to (K) and the adjacent shoreline:
(F) 22° 19.702’N 114° 07.604’E
(G) 22° 19.675’N 114° 07.613’E
(H) 22° 19.667’N 114° 07.585’E
(I) 22° 20.148’N 114° 07.422’E
(J) 22° 20.156’N 114° 07.450’E
(K) 22° 20.131’N 114° 07.458’E
The works will be carried out by one grab dredger assisted by one tugboat, one hopper barge and one survey boat. The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements.
A working area of approximately 50 metres around the grab dredger will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the grab dredger.
The hours of work will be round-the-clock. Vessels engaged in the operations will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations. Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
