Construction of subsea pipeline off west coast of Lamma Island

For approximately two months, construction of subsea pipeline will be carried out within the area bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (F):
(A) 22° 12.679’N 114° 05.755’E
(B) 22° 12.214’N 114° 06.063’E
(C) 22° 12.037’N 114° 06.093’E
(D) 22° 10.130’N 114° 04.424’E
(E) 22° 11.006’N 114° 03.969’E
(F) 22° 11.245’N 114° 04.500’E

The works will be carried out by one flat-top work barge and one dumb lighter. One work boat and two tugs will provide assistance.

A working area of approximately 50 metres around the flat-top work barge and the dumb lighter will be established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights and radar reflectors will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the barge and lighter.

The hours of work will be round-the-clock.

Vessels engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution.
