Another Force Majeure declared

20 Apr 2022 / Brega, Libya

Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) yesterday (19 April) declared a Force Majeure on the oil port of Brega due to the impossibility of meeting its commitments to the oil market.

The NOC warns that the shutdown of production at Sirte oil and gas production and manufacturing company will have implications for the stability of the public electricity network, especially the eastern region, as most power plants feed on gas produced from the company's fields. The wave of closures is likely to also affect all coastal terminals.
