Coral survey off Port Island, Tai Shue Wan & Deep Water Bay

For approximately 36 months, coral survey will be carried out in the following works areas:

WORKS AREA 1:
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (D):
(A) 22° 30.137’N 114° 21.360’E
(B) 22° 30.114’N 114° 21.398’E
(C) 22° 30.060’N 114° 21.357’E
(D) 22° 30.075’N 114° 21.320’E

WORKS AREA 2
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (E) to (H):
(E) 22° 14.159’N 114° 10.001’E
(F) 22° 14.146’N 114° 10.028’E
(G) 22° 14.121’N 114° 10.021’E
(H) 22° 14.120’N 114° 10.008’E

WORKS AREA 3
This area is bounded by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (I) to (L):
(I) 22° 14.650’N 114° 10.774’E
(J) 22° 14.643’N 114° 10.805’E
(K) 22° 14.552’N 114° 10.750’E
(L) 22° 14.576’N 114° 10.723’E

The works will be carried out by one work boat. A working area of approximately 20 metres around the work boat will be established.

The hours of work will be from 0900 to 1700 hours on every Sundays. Vessel employed for the works will not stay in the works areas outside the hours of work.

Diving operations will be carried out from time to time during the hours of work.

Vessel engaged in the works will display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear of the works areas at slow speed, bearing in mind there are divers working in the areas.
