Reopening to cruise ships

06 Jul 2022 / Indonesia

Indonesia has updated procedures for onboard immigration checks onboard for cruise ships.

The stamp process will be replaced by a sticker (no manual stamp anymore), and will need internet connection 30Mpbs during the process. Visa On Arrival (VOA) will be given for 72 countries, and free visa for 9 ASEAN countries. Other countries must apply for E-Visa before entering Indonesia. Passengers cannot sign on/off in different ports (cabotage regulation).

For quarantine, passengers must show the softcopy/hardcopy of their vaccine certificate. If they do not have this, Peduli Lindungi application/MDH also will be sufficient. Two full vaccine full doses is sufficient to enter Indonesia.

If all passengers and crew are healthy, quarantine and officers will embark upon ship berthed.

Meanwhile, the East Berth in Benoa port is being extended to accommodate two cruise ships to berth. The project is expected to be completed in January 2023.
