Handling of marine debris and wastes

All marine companies, marine operators, marine crafts, and waterways users are prohibited from discharging, dumping or disposing of any wastes, materials, debris, or buoyant objects in all waters and waterways of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi that could result in any harm to the public health and safety or the marine environment and its resources or which could impede, affect or interfere with maritime activities, operations and other legitimate uses; including, but not limited to, navigation, fishing, recreational and tourism activities.

In addition, all marine companies are prohibited from discharging any pollutants into the marine environment that may result from the activities of these companies.

Abu Dhabi Maritime urges all users and companies to abide by all Legislations, laws and regulations issued in this regard to avoid being subject to the stipulated penalties, fines and compensation that may result from such violations.
