Construction of subsea pipeline from North of Hong Kong Link Road to West of Tai O

For approximately two months, construction of subsea pipeline [is being] carried out along the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (E):
(A) 22° 17.214’N 113° 51.378’E
(B) 22° 16.563’N 113° 51.178’E
(C) 22° 16.280’N 113° 51.059’E
(D) 22° 16.023’N 113° 50.886’E
(E) 22° 15.537’N 113° 50.487’E

The works [are being] carried out by one special purpose vessel and two dredgers. Two tugboats, three dumb lighters and two guard boats provide assistance. The number of vessels engaged in the works change from time to time to suit operational requirements.

A working area of approximately 50 metres around each working vessel [is] established. Yellow marker buoys fitted with yellow flashing lights and radar reflectors will be laid to mark the positions of the anchors extending from the working vessels.

The hours of work [are] round-the-clock.

Diving operations [are] carried out from time to time during the hours of work.

Vessels engaged in the operation display signals as prescribed in international and local regulations.

Vessels navigating in the vicinity should proceed with caution and keep clear of the works area at slow speed, bearing in mind there are divers working in the area.
