Tariff adjustments approved

The Namibian Ports Authority, Namport, has advised that a 4% tariff increase has been approved across all port services, except pilotage, storage and cargo handling equipment hire, at the ports of Walvis Bay and Luderitz for the financial period 1 April 2022–31 March 2023.

Pilotage services at the Port of Walvis Bay will be adjusted by 8% for vessels with gross tonnages of less than 25,000 gross tonnages, but shall exclude Namibian flagged fishing vessels. This adjustment will apply to bulk carriers, smaller feeder vessels for either petroleum or general cargo, supply tugs, reefer vessels and passenger vessels.

Pilotage services at the Port of Luderitz will be adjusted by 6%.

There will be no increase for storage and hire of cargo handling equipment at both ports.
