Disruption of shipping movements

Due to continuous rain and inflow of water from various sources, [Krishnapatnam] port experienced unprecedented current flow in the harbour peaking up to 4 kts. This act of nature caused disruption to shipping movements particularly on North berths 3, 4, 5 & 6 since 20.11.2021.

The port has been monitoring the currents in the basin and will be able to resume shipping movements to these berths once the current strength comes down and it is safe for vessels to be alongside.

In view of the above act of nature, the Port will not be responsible for any claims, dames, charges, etc. whatsoever arising out of and/or connected to the above act of nature, either directly or indirectly which without any limitation would include vessel demurrages, inter alia due to pre-berthing or any other delays of whatsoever nature shall also not be applicable for all vessels to be handled at port for any delays or disturbances in the port services during the above period, and all the related claims and /or liabilities are disclaimed hereby.
