Hydrographic survey off Pulau Sudong

The working period for the hydrographical survey off Pulau Sudong has been extended.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.034 of 2022, the work is now being conducted between 0700 and 1900 hours on Saturdays and Sundays only until 25 November, in waters around Pulau Sudong, within the working areas bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):

Hydrographic surveys will be conducted by work boats to identify and locate metallic anomalies. These anomalies will be classified and removed if necessary.

Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working areas.

Craft involved in the works will exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 (West Control);
and
e) Communicate with West Control on VHF Channel 68 for assistance, if required.
