Construction of berth structure

Work is underway until 29 October to construct a berth structure at the waterfront of OMC 2.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.054 of 2022, the work is being conducted 24 hours daily - including Sundays & Public Holidays - in the vicinity of Tuas West coast, within the working area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
A) 01° 19.402'N / 103° 37.420'E
B) 01° 19.430'N / 103° 37.375'E
C) 01° 19.527'N / 103° 37.435'E
D) 01° 19.498'N / 103° 37.481'E

The construction work involves dredging/dumping, slope revetment, scour protection fender and cathodic protection installation.

Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft in the vicinity of the working area.

Craft involved in the work exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
