Port operations still suspended, resumption of non-bunkering ops planned

07 Sep 2022 / Gibraltar

Operations at the Port of Gibraltar remain suspended today (7 September) as all resources are currently focused on containing and stabilising the situation following last week’s collision between two vessels. However, the reopening of the Port for non-bunkering activities is planned during the course of the day.

The Captain of the Port has advised that the situation is constantly being reviewed and it is hoped that operations can resume at the earliest opportunity.

Meanwhile, the recovery and clean-up operations continues.
