  • Organised by Odontology, Sport and Exercise Medicine

This event has been cancelled. Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

This unique meeting aims to explore some of the areas where dentistry and head and neck surgery overlap with athletic performance. We will hear from top-level clinicians and several that perform and compete at high levels themselves.

Dentistry is only now being recognised as an important element of athlete well-being with teams and coaches advocating dental health when defining coaching and training strategies. Specialists during this event will review the effects of oral health on athletic performance and wellbeing, and explore the intersection of dentistry with other fields managing sports injuries and performance in athletes.

During this event you will:

  • Understand the effects of dental and facial trauma in athletes
  • Explore the implications of diet and oral health when considering sports nutrition
  • Discuss how dentistry affects athletic performance from the perspective of the athlete

This event would be relevant to those interested in or within the field of odontology, oral and maxillofacial, and sport and exercise medicine.

This is an RSM Odontology Section meeting that is jointly held with RSM Sports and Exercise Medicine.

This is a pre-recorded webinar that will be available 3 days after the live in-person event on Friday 25 March 2022, taking place at the RSM in London. You will be able to view the webinar whenever you like, up to 60 days from when it’s made available.
