A warm welcome to our new member PGL Travel. PGL offer outdoor education and residential courses for students aged 8-17 years old. They own and manage 12 English language centres across the UK, which operate seasonally and are British Council accredited. Their courses for juniors combine English lessons, excursions and on-site adventure activities. Thank you to the team at RefuAid and especially Ilaria Tarulli and Madiha Sultan for the support you provide in helping our member centres and accredited #UKELT support refugees and asylum seekers in the UK >> Thanks to RefuAid and English UK member centres: ◾ 246 refugees and asylum seekers graduated from their English language courses in 2023 ◾ 131 of the 246 plan to attend university in the UK to get the qualifications they need ◾ 51 of these are doctors who are preparing for requalification and PLAB exams after passing OETs (English tests for healthcare professionals) ◾ The group of graduates also includes ten nurses, eight pharmacists and five dentists now preparing for requalification exams as well as engineers and teachers. #WeAreOne Find out more >> bit.ly/3vBf1B6
