Cyber Career Pathways Event: Inspiring Future Talent
Last month, twenty-two Sheffield Hallam University students delivered this year's Cyber Career Pathways event, welcoming nine schools and offering Year 10 pupils the chance to explore careers in cyber security and digital forensics through hands-on workshops, employer insights, and honest conversations about the many routes into the sector. Delivered in partnership with RTC North and CyberFirst, the day was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when higher education, schools and industry come together.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed, including the Sheffield Hallam students and staff, Victoria Speight from CyberFit, Claire Swallow and Bryony Cooke from the Yorkshire and Humber ROCU, Nik Kelsey from CyberFirst, and STEM Ambassadors Chris McLaughlin and Dave Timlin.
"Students were consistently engaged and the passion for cyber security was evident in those running the event. I would highly recommend this for any school to experience."
