Thank you to every industry partner who has supported, volunteered, or hosted events, your contribution makes a real difference. Looking forward to the months ahead and the opportunities we are bringing to young people across the region.

CyberFirst Conference

We're excited to welcome you to the CyberFirst Conference – 5th February at the Nexus in Leeds. 

Please come ready to share your thoughts during the collaboration session. We want to hear your honest ideas about how we can better support teachers as they help students build the skills, confidence, and curiosity to explore a future in cyber. What you bring to the discussion really does matter, your perspective will help shape opportunities that make cyber careers feel both reachable and genuinely exciting for young people. 

Teachers Strengthen Their Understanding of Artificial Intelligence in the Curriculum
 

This month our CyberFirst Ambassadors continued to work across Yorkshire and Humber by supporting schools in building a clearer understanding of how AI is shaping the digital world. The session formed part of the wider CyberFirst programme’s ongoing commitment to helping schools prepare students for a rapidly evolving digital landscape. We would like to extend our thanks to Microsoft for their invaluable contributions.

CyberFirst Girls Competition

Celebration Event 11th March | University of Leeds 

Congratulations to the top 10 teams in this year’s CyberFirst Girls Competition! To celebrate this fantastic achievement, we are inviting them to a celebration event to recognise the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.  

We are seeking CyberFirst Ambassador role models to share their personal journeys and inspire the next generation at this event.

CyberFirst Horizons

We are looking for various support from our CyberFirst community for the CyberFirst Horizons 2026 programme.

Cyber Horizons helps students build confidence and cyber skills with support from industry mentors, cyber ambassadors, hands-on training, and 'Meet the Pros' sessions.

The Leeds programme runs from Monday to Friday on the following dates:

🗓️ Week 1: 6th to 10th July 2026

🗓️ Week 2: 10th to 14th August 2026

🗓️ Week 3: 17th to 21st August 2026

📍Each day runs from 10:00 to 12:00 & 13:00 to 15:00 at Central Leeds.
