01 London Pizza Safari Finds Japes
Japes, the London-based pizza brand, famous for their Chicago-style deep-dish pizzas, has signed its first franchise deal, with three restaurants across the UK’s foodie capital. As a growing hot spot, we visited Japes on our recent London Pizza Safari. The top stand-out trends were premium ingredients, such as cherry bourbon BBQ beef brisket, fusion cuisines like chicken tenders and buttermilk ranch as pizza toppings and evolving authentic classics such as beef ragu. 02 Celebrating St. Patrick's Day
I Am Doner, a UK kebab chain, has introduced a special for upcoming St. Patrick's Day. The brand captures the spirit of the Irish holiday, enticing customers with unique flavours and themed offerings. To celebrate the launch of their new kebab, the St Patrick’s Day special with Guinness Mayonnaise, they are offering the chance to win a trip to Dublin. In the U.S., Miller’s Ale House is also offering St. Patrick’s Day limited time offerings. Guests can order Irish Egg Rolls stuffed with corned beef, sauerkraut, bistro sauce and Swiss cheese, and the Ale House Reuben is made with thinly sliced corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, 1000 Island dressing and is served on crispy Rye bread.

03 Fakeaway for a Big Night In
Domino’s has launched a new range of Italian cuisine-inspired pizzas, including the Ultimate Carbonara and Lasagne pizzas and Ultimate Cheesy Garlic Bread. The Ultimate Lasagne is topped with a creamy cheese sauce, ground beef, tomatoes, onion, herbs, mozzarella, and a tomato sauce drizzle. The Ultimate Carbonara features a cheese sauce, smoked bacon, mushrooms and mozzarella. Meanwhile, Goodfella’s has launched a range of ‘fakeaway’ sides, offering consumers the ‘big night in’ experience at an affordable price. The four new frozen sides include Mozzarella Cheese Bites, Cheesy Pizza Bites, Cheese & Ham Croquettes and Tomato & Mozzarella Arancini.

04 Bacon-Centric Spring Menu
Wayback Burgers has unveiled a sizzling new bacon-centric menu for Spring. Think premium apple cider cured, double applewood-smoked bacon, across all its offerings. Boasting creations such as the new Cheesy Bacon Ranch Cheesesteak, with thinly sliced steak on a fresh sub, with melted cheese sauce, topped with two strips of the new double applewood smoked bacon, with a drizzle of creamy ranch dressing. The new Cheesy Bacon Cheese Curds comes with crispy golden cheddar cheese curds, with melted cheese sauce, sprinkled with bacon bits. This limited-time menu is available at Wayback Burgers until the end of May.

05 Panera Menu Upgrades
Panera Bread has announced a menu expansion, with nine new items priced under $10 and twelve enhanced classics. The new additions offer a wide variety of options, including sandwiches, salads, soups and more, ensuring there is something for everyone. Some of the new items include Bacon Mac and Cheese, Chicken Bacon Rancher sandwich, Ciabatta Cheesesteak and a Mediterranean Chicken Greens with Grains salad. Panera reaffirms its commitment to accessibility and inclusivity by expanding its menu with these budget-friendly options.

06 wagamama x Willy's Pies
wagamama has partnered with Willy’s Pies to create a new Chicken Katsu Pie and plant-based pie made with Mushroom, Kimchee and Edamame. The collaboration came from wagamama’s noodle lab restaurant and is the latest launch in a series of innovative fusions appearing across the food industry. The flaky pastry is packed with bold Asian flavours and filled with indulgent fillings. The plant-based version allows wagamama to offer something for everyone, and appeal to more consumers. The pies will be available in 19 locations in major cities across the UK.

07 Taco Bell Sprinkles On Tajin
Taco Bell is testing new menu items featuring the much-loved seasoning, Tajin, at one California location for a limited time. Partnering with the popular Mexican seasoning brand, Taco Bell is putting a flavour twist on classic menu items. Tajin is a mildly spiced blend of red chilies, lime and sea salt that originated in Mexico but has gained popularity across the U.S. The Tajin Crunchy Taco features a seasoned corn shell filled with seasoned beef, ranch sauce, lettuce, shredded cheese and mango salsa. The Tajin Twists tap into the growing protein snack and spicy trends, with crispy puffed corn twists sprinkled with Tajin seasoning.

08 Burger Taco Fusion
The Habit Burger Grill is testing Charburger Tacos at select California restaurants for a limited time. The chargrilled beef patties sit within a “lighter-than-a-bun” tortilla, allowing beef to be the hero ingredient. Inspired by the trend of food fusions, the Charburger Tacos also includes melted American cheese, caramelized onions, tangy pickles, shredded lettuce and diced tomato. To top it off, a drizzle of spicy red pepper sauce adds a fiery kick, elevating the taco flavour experience.

09 'Meaty' Rice Protein Concept
Scientists in South Korea have created a hybrid rice infused with beef cells, introducing a new eco-friendly protein source. Lab-grown muscle and fat cells were added to rice grains, which, when cultured, produced a firmer texture and boosted both protein and fat content. This innovation presents a sustainable alternative to traditional meat production, with a significantly reduced carbon footprint. If commercialised, this hybrid rice could provide a more cost-effective protein option and alleviate food crises.
